Exhibition

The Made of Steel project is ready for exhibition - in fact has already been exhibited at The Wilson Center for the Art at Florida Community College, Jacksonville, Florida (August 2008).

It consists of 92 images, printed on 11x17 paper as illustrated here. The prints are displayed on 12"x18" sheet metal hangers, attached with magnets, without glass. Additional images of this display (and the installation at The Wilson Center) are available by request.

Each image in the presentation includes text that accompanies the images. See the PDF of the Made of Steel project for examples.

I am also available for speaking engagements for this work as my schedule allows.

Galleries

Galleries interested in exhibiting or selling my work are welcome to inquire. I do not, however, offer work "on commission" sales. Instead, wholesale discounts are available for resellers, framer/resellers, and other valid business partners.

Galleries may be particularly interested in my "folios" as form of work that offers new potential, especially for entry-level collectors.

Publishers

As the publisher of LensWork, I understand the publishing business better than most photographers. Book publishers, poster manufacturers, and others in the offset lithographic reproduction business are welcome to inquire about publishing possibilities.

Collectors

Individual collectors are encouraged to review my editioning and pricing philosophy. I have many collectors world-wide who value my work - especially the folios - as a unique collectible photographic opportunity. I do not encourage "financial speculation" for those who collect my work, but I'd be naive to ignore the reality that some who purchase my prints and folios do so in anticipation of an escalation of their value. Instead, I encourage collectors to think of my work as a form of consumption - that is, I prefer it when people purchase my work because they love it.

I offer my work at the lowest possible pricing on purpose. In my personal value system (now, there's a pretentious phrase!) I'd much rather see my work in wide distribution than in possession of an elite few wealthy patrons who can afford high prices. I offer my work a low prices, which may, perchance, fit nicely with an investment strategy - that is your decision. I just want collectors to know without question, my philosopy. I do not limit my prints. I do not sell "on commission" through galleries. I do not target the elite collectors. This document contains more information.

Speaking Engagements

Before Maureen and I started LensWork, I traveled the world speaking and conducting seminars associated with my management consulting company. I am very familiar with the world of public speaking. If you are looking for speakers for your photography-related event, exposition, conference, or workshop, inquiries are welcome.
