Kokoro #010 - Memento MoriFor my last several trips overseas, I've economized to save weight by carrying a monopod only, leaving my tripod at home. I've been amazed how well this performs, particularly in combination with the in-lens stabilization in my digital camera.
In my view camera days, every photograph was made with tripod stabilization. The fact that I can make a tack sharp image at 1/20th of a second
without using a tripod is simply a miracle. Maybe I'm just an old guy, but this single improvement in photography has literally changed my creative life.
