From Kokoro #064 - Let it Snow

Tree and snow photographs always present a challenge because white snow typically appears agains a white sky, which is typically presented on a white page in the book or a white background on a web page. This white on white on white makes it difficult for the photographically rendered snow to be the whitest thing in the picture, but it emotionally alsways is.

Finding this image long before dawn against the night sky renders the white snow under this street lamp without those other competing whites. Its isolated white really makes it feel like snow in this image.
