First, thanks!
When I began this project last October, I assumed it was a "web only" project and had no intention of doing anything with these images other than this website. I have been surprised and amazed that so many people have asked about purchasing these prints! Again, thanks for the unexpected.
So, I'll be doing two things because of these requests . . .
- Late next fall (2009) after all 100 images have been completed, I'll assemble prints from the entire collection into a folio project, complete with all the audio and video comment media files, transcribed and printable text, as well as a printable PDF of all the commentaries. This request has come from many educators who see this project, in its entirety, as a valuable teaching tool. With 100 prints, it'll be more expensive than my typical projects — probably in the $1,000 range — which makes it out of reach for a lot of folks. So, a second idea seemed appropriate. . .
..
- I'm making each individual image available as they are posted as a one-at-a-time print for individuals who are interested in a single print. These will be the same prints that will eventually be in the folio. They are approximately 7x9" pigment-on-paper prints on 8x10½" paper; warm-toned printed on an Epson 4880; packaged individually as unmatted prints in a crystal clear bag. These images are being printed in an open, unnumbered edition.
Consistent with my pricing philosophy to make artwork that anyone can afford, the price for these individual prints is $12.
Here is a sample of how they look — a vertical and a horizontal.
Again, thanks. Here is the link to the LensWork store where these prints can be purchased.
New as of 10 April
Custom folios — choose which prints you want in a folio of 5, 10, or 15 prints. An idea from a web visitor that sound fun!
