Last Light, Heckman Farm, 2004
The sun is setting on the Heckman farm — and, unfortunately, this is not a statement about the light in this photograph. So many of the farms of North Dakota are disappearing as the times change. Kenny and Palma are no longer with us, but the farm they left behind still stands — for the time being. With enough North Dakota winters there is no doubt this scene, too, will pass.
