The Lost Scrolls, 2005
Okay, this is not "The Lost Scrolls," but it looks like it should be. It was this wall — which is about 8-feet wide — that first prompted me to see these paint marks at Fort Worden as calligraphic in form. If someone had walked up to me as I was photographing it and and begun reading some ancient Oriental text outloud from these marks, I would not have been surprised.
